Research Studio
PROJECT ASSIGNMENT: Hired by Epicenter, our class was instructed to create a product to sell at an event in Green River, Utah. The Green River Rocks festival has many visitors interested in the outdoors, rockhounding especially, and was requested that one product is oriented for families with children.
Green River Rocks Festival
Our research studio was hired by Epicenter who runs the annual Green River Rocks event. GRR brings awareness and appreciation to rural places, wilderness, unique sites, and overlooked histories.
Specifically, we were asked to develop products related to the festival, geology, paleontology, and especially in celebration of Green River's history.
The festival hosts more than 350 people attending each year, our goal was to quickly prototype and develop our products, while working with our sponsors to ensure our designs met the standards and needs of the festival. Finally, donating all proceeds back to Epicenter.
This product was created to support children in imaginative and explorative play in nature. It is easy to carry around and has many uses in order to create an environment of learning and play.
