Prototyping Methods
PROJECT ASSIGNMENT: Take 3 objects to create a flat model kit designed for play or to play. This will be displayed in 2 sizes, using 3D printing, vacuum forming, cast moldings, CNCing, laser cutting, texturing, as well as an animation of the assembled flat model kit.
"Wiggles and Dots" is a Montessori-inspired building and balancing toy kit designed for
children aged 3 and up. Combining the tactile warmth of wood, the creativity of foam
clay, and the versatility of 3D-printed plastic, the product nurtures cognitive
development, motor skills, and imaginative play. With its sustainable and educational
approach, "Wiggles and Dots" aims to establish itself in the growing niche market of
eco-friendly, Montessori-style toys.
